GREGORY MATTHEWS
		HISTORY Gregory was born to Leona Matthews, single mom and determined drunk. Or so he says if someone ask about his mother. It wasn't that he had a hard life, exactly. Leona made sure he went to school, helped with his homework sometimes, definitely taught him to love games of all sorts, and promised he could be anything (even Batman) if he really wanted it. It was just peppered with Gregory making sure his mother went to bed and work up in the mornings for work. He would walk to and from school- stopping to drop his mother off at work and to pick her up again (the exact opposite of what should have happened). He even learned to cook once he was old enough, making sure they had a dinner that wasn't microwaved or picked up at pub. It was probably a miracle that he grew up to be as well adjusted as he is- though he did develop one bad habit. Greg was sixteen the first time his mother shared a bottle of wine with him. It wasn't the first time he'd drank, or been drunk....but it was the start of a downward spiral. Now he and his mother could party together, and Leona was a dedicated alcoholic. She taught him, perhaps irresponsibly, that someone could drink themselves to oblivion and still make it through their day. That a drunk could most certainly be functional. The side affect to all of this was that Greg was a full-fledged alcoholic by the time he was 20. And for better or worse, he okay with that. He had managed to keep his friendships mostly alive, and had kept his life from imploding. He also had a great relationship with is mother, which what more could he ask for? They go out together nearly every night. And the only down side to it is when she tries to drunkenly hook him up with people. It's just awkward. PERSONALITY Greg is pretty easy going about things. He doesn't like to get overly 'involved' with things, though. If a friendship/relationship starts to become too dependent on his presence, he starts to back off. If only because he's afraid that people might not think he is as fun if they spent too much time with him. It isn't that he doesn't want to be close friends, he's just...not as confident as people think. And he does often appear that he is the most confident, proud, and full of himself. There are many ins and out to his personality, but they all tend to end in one place, however. He likes to drink- and being drunk is sometimes the most memorable part of his personality. DESCRIPTION Greg is a slender, six foot tall, blond man. He typically wear tee-shirts and jeans. He also generally has a flask on him instead of a wallet. He keeps his wallet in his desk at work or on his coffee table at home. Sometime he remember to take it with him, most of the time he has to run back to get it. He is pretty casual about most everything. And every once in a while he can drop an expression straight out of the Matthews playbook. In case anyone forgot who his mother was.
